While looking for something about Aboriginal English for the blog I stumbled across the ABC Splash website, which provides digital resources for children and schools. It has some great short videos aimed at primary and secondary school children about the topics we’ve covered in LING566.
The first 6 clips are part of a series about Aboriginal people and language. The last clip even looks at the Macassan visitors to northern Australia. It’s great that this ties in with the school curriculum.
