Race, Recognition of Aboriginals in the Australian constitution

Today an interesting quarterly Essay has been released by Noel Pearson through Black ink press.

It looks at the recognition of Aboriginals. Particularly interesting as he comments on the last Tasmanian killed in 1866.

Pearson reflects on whether it would be better to include a statement of recognition in the constitutional preamble or a declaration such as the Gettysburg address which could be more expressive.
