PAW media.

Pintubi, Anmatjere, Warlpiri media and communications is based in Yuendumu, NT. The organisation has been going strong for over 25 years producing radio, film and music for the local communities. The most well known production from PAW would have to be Bush Mechanics, that excellent programme that was broadcast nationally by the ABC a few years back. Their website contains a great deal of video and music from the local communities and from what I can tell most of it is spoken/sung in Warlpiri. There is videos about community projects, organisations and events as well as story videos for the kids. The music site has some great music that you can listen to from bands such as Rising Wind Band and Desert Mulga Band (winners of the Yuendumu road safety song contest).

As well as continuing their excellent productions in video, radio and music PAW hold a nationally significant archive of analog video footage that was produced during the 1980s and 1990s. Archives like this one are crucial in maintaining culture and language for remote communities.
