Iwantja Band launch ‘Palya’

Iwantja Band from Iwantja in South Australia have been getting a bit of media coverage recently as they launch into the wider music world with their new CD ‘Palya’. In this article from the CAAMA site David Nash discusses how the band sings in Pitjantjatjara/Yankunytjatjara while this blog post goes into more depth about the musical side of the band. After trawling through numerous youtube clips I have decided these guys may just be up there on my top faves list of Australian bands, alongside the likes of Coloured Stone and Warumpi Band.
