Compensation for lost languages.

This article was published in the The Australian a few weeks ago. Professor Ghil’ad Zuckerman argues that just as Indigenous people are entitled to compensation for stolen lands, so they should be entitled to compensation for language loss. It is a concept that I hadn’t considered before, and one that I am planning to look further into.
